Under the project titel „Shattentak“ I developed the album „spurlos“ (see below). Shattentak’s songs can be described with the tags german/electro/pop. The name is derived from a song on the album spurlos (“Schattentag”, which means “Day Of The Shadows”).

The Album “spurlos” (“trackless”)

Spurlos is about loss of orientation. It’s when you don’t know where to go and where you came from. You’re wondering why you don’t leave a trace, you search for a goal, but you can’t stick to anything. You lose your orientation in time and space. You’re clinging to the past or to the future or you’re caught somewhere between. And while you’re trying to unite the concepts of past, present and future, you notice that you live in a world full of illusions. Where do you find hold when not even the reality is reliable? Can you find hold in love? But what if love is also just a piece of the way – there to leave it behind. Do you hurl yourself into dependence? Or into a new, risky adventure? Or do you think “now more than ever” and start to fight for higher ideals? Who knows – maybe you don’t even have a choice.
Spurlos connects all these questions though it can’t answer them all. With a mixture of electro, pop and rock every song goes it’s own way. It will show whether something of it reaches its goal. But one thing’s for sure: The journey has begun.
